‘No Climate Action Without Us’

Moderator: Dominique Palmer (Climate Justice Activist/ Speaker, Storyteller/ Writer/ Advocate)

Speakers: Blaine Harrison (Mystery Jets), Feimatta Conteh (Arts Council England), Harry (Angharad) Jones (Team Love / Accessible Events).

There are more than 1 billion disabled people in the global population. Disabled people will experience the impact of climate change more than other groups because the solutions that enable access and support environmental sustainability can often oppose one another. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Attitude is Everything, Julie’s Bicycle, and A Greener Future will present their innovative new toolkit that will support the UK’s events industry to implement practical solutions that tackle both climate change and accessibility. Farah Ahmed, climate justice lead at Julie’s Bicycle, and Dr Teresa Moore, director at A Greener Future, will introduce the principles of the toolkit, followed by a panel discussion that explores some of the ideas, conversations, and solutions from disabled people and the sector on inclusive climate change
